FUTECH measuring instruments are made with carefully selected components and manufactured with the utmost care, so that we can offer you products of superior quality. In the unlikely event of your product becoming defective because of material or manufacturing faults, you can benefit from a manufacturer’s warranty of 5 years on all products (see below for some exceptions). During this period, your device will be repaired or replaced free of charge if all the following conditions are met:
1. Your device was purchased from an authorised FUTECH distributor and returned to an authorised FUTECH distributor within the warranty period. As proof, you attach a copy of the purchase invoice stating the type and serial number of the device to the defective product.
2. You send the defective product to an authorised FUTECH distributor in its original protective packaging (fabric bag, plastic case, etc.) to avoid additional damage during transport to the FUTECH service centre.
3.The product does not show signs of damage caused by inappropriate use (e.g. crack(s) due to a fall, internal sand/dirt/water damage, blown or replaced fuses, damage due to use of incorrect charger/adapter, leaky batteries, attempt to remove or alter the serial number, damage after opening the product, etc.)
4. The product does not show signs of handling or (partial) repair by an unauthorised service centre (e.g. opening of the product, use of non-original parts, etc.).
5. The damage has not been caused by using non-original FUTECH accessories.
Exceptions:
- The manufacturer’s warranty does NOT cover periodic maintenance work. Preventive or periodic calibration is not covered by the warranty against material or manufacturing faults as this is a logical consequence of normal use of the device.
- The manufacturer’s warranty on all batteries is limited to 1 year.
- FUTECH offers a warranty of 6 months on all repairs or replacements provided by an authorised FUTECH service centre.
The manufacturer’s warranty is granted to the first owner of the device as stated on the invoice of the authorised FUTECH distributor. The warranty cannot be transferred to any other party.
All repair costs (e.g. transport, parts, labour, etc.) for repairs not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty shall be borne in full by the user.
